Weapons are essential for surviving the nights. Make sure you get your hands on as many weapons as possible and always upgrade and equip your best weapons.

Here's what you need to know about weapons:

• There are 8 weapon types corresponding with 8 survivor types. Each survivor can only equip one weapon type.
• Weapons will deal more & less damage against specific enemies. All detailed in the weapon info menu.
• Not all weapons in the same category behave exactly the same. Some have different enemy modifiers. Melee weapons, for example, have blunt weapons (e.g. hammers, bats) who only target single enemies and bladed weapons (e.g. knives, swords) that deal damage to multiple enemies.
• Upgrade weapons with weapon parts. Destroy unwanted weapons to gain weapon parts or collect them from loot.
• Experimental Weapons - these are the rarest weapons that have unique abilities that can have a big impact on the way you play. We introduce at least one new experimental weapon with each new league season.
